Our new campsite is set in tranquil surroundings with mature trees. Located 45 minutes from the M50 at Blanchardstown via M3. Nested beneath the Loughcrew Hills, it's the perfect base to relax and explore the Ancient Loughcrew Cairns. These tombs are approximately 5,000 years old and located within a short walk and on the highest point in Co. Meath. Here you can enjoy 360° panoramic views and see 18 counties of Ireland on a clear day.

The Loughcrew Cairns are part of the Boyne Valley Drive and located on Ireland's Ancient East route. With connections to Newgrange which is just 45 minutes drive away. Similiar to Newgrange, here at Loughcrew the light also shines down the chamber of the passage tomb. This happens in the Spring and Autumn period known as the Equinox. This is a special time to visit as international and local visitors gather to celebrate the rising sun illuminating the passage and striking the artwork in Cairn T. Hillwalking and hiking can be enjoyed on the Loughcrew hills at anytime. The 50 acre site is opento the public with guided tours and guide books available.

Meath but is just a few minutes drive from popular travel destinations in Westmeath and Cavan. 10 minutes from Mullaghmeen (Euope's largest beech forest) which has marked KM walks. 10 minutes drive to Lough Ramor and Lough Sheelin noted for their angling, fishing, swimming and leisure activities. 15 minutes drive to Fore Monastery (630AD) which is famous for the 7 wonders.
